Introduction


The Oak School, established in 1969, is a Cambridge-based school in England teaching English as a foreign language, especially to Italian university students. The director of studies of the school, John Gannon (M.A. Cantab, Dip. Ed), taught for fifteen years at l'Universitą Cattolica di Milano, and has also taught at the Universities of Brescia, Verona and Udine.
